British International Curriculum
Secondary Education at Kent International School covers the final three stages of the British International Curriculum (Pearson Edexcel).
Key Stage 3 — Years 7 to 9
Key Stage 3 lays the foundation for future learning. Students study all Edexcel International Lower Secondary subjects, as well as Career Skills, Personal Development and Ethics or Religion.
Key Stage 4 — Years 10 & 11
Students begin to specialize, focusing on compulsory core subjects, as well as their option choices. At the end of Year 11, students sit external examinations to obtain their I/GCSE.
Key Stage 5 — Years 12 & 13 (Sixth Form)
Access to Key Stage 5 is dependent upon I/GCSE results. A Level qualification is required for universities in Europe and other international universities worldwide.
